This is an original JJ-CCR oxygen sensor, type R17JJ-CCR, approved for use in the JJ-CCR rebreather. It fits the newer type of head with the connectors on the head. Accurate oxygen monitoring is essential for safe rebreather operation, and these cells provide reliable real-time PPO2 readings to the JJ-CCR controller and HUD throughout the dive. JJ-CCR authorizes only this sensor type; cells marked PSR-11-39-JJ are not factory authorized. The unit uses three sensors, sold here individually. JJ-CCR sets stricter limits for this cell than the generic life of galvanic sensors: maximum sensor life is 15 months from the date of manufacture, of which a maximum of 12 months of use in the rebreather. Packaging time beyond three months is deducted from the 12 months of use. Replace all three cells at least every 12 months, and replace any cell that fails calibration or reads unstable. Keep unused sensors in their sealed bag until you install them.
