About the Quick Release Buckle System
The quick release buckle for straps 50 mm wide. The straps are attached through a simple hooking. For disconnecting them, both levers need to be lifted at the same time. The levers are designed in such a way that they are easy to be found and lifted even in diving gloves, with cold fingers from being in cold water. The active part of the buckle (the one with the levers) is attached to the strap via threading through and sewing, eventually through a top for a double strap (order separately). The passive part is attached via threading through. The QRF buckle is not to be used for climbing, skydiving or in any other way where its use could pose a risk to one’s life. The QRF buckle was designed for attaching straps of diving apparatus and its construction is not suited for static and dynamic strains, which are in climbing or skydiving.
Active Part
Separate active part of the QRF buckle. Can be combined with different passive parts. The weight of the active part of the buckle is 78 g.
Passive Threading Through Part
Separate passive part of the QRF buckle, designed for a firm threading through of the strap. The weight is 56 g.
Passive Adjustable Part
Passive part of the QRF buckle. It enables the tightening of the attached strap by pulling on the loose end. The loose end of the strap should be bended twice and sewn through to prevent its unintended unthreading when the buckle isn’t in use. The weight is 62 g.
Passive Simple Part
Separate passive part of the QRF buckle, designed for sewing on the strap. The weight is 32 g.
